Well, after several months of fighting Mr. Nike the hedgehog finally seems to have reached his limit. Two days ago he stopped eating and drinking and tomorrow I'm looking at putting him down. Since the last time I wrote the tumor has moved down to his throat as well as the other side of his face and well there's little more that can be done about it. Though I suppose I could wait a bit longer to see what happens I really don't think it's fair to him. The growth looks horrid and it's obviously causing him pain. He doesn't even run in his wheel anymore .

Man I feel like crap right now. I should have spoiled him more when I had the chance. Could've played with the little guy more. Now he just sorta putters around then looks for a place to lie down. Truth is I honestly didn't expect him to leave so soon. I thought he'd at least be with me another two years. If it weren't for this cursed cancer I'm sure he would be. He's a trooper and it just doesn't seem right that he should leave. Feels like he got cheated out of life. Worse of all I can't even promise that his last hours will be real happy. He hates the vet and freaks when I take him there. Even if I do let him out of his cage for several hours all he'll do is look for a place to hide and sleep and I can't give him his favorite treats because they hurt too much when he eats them .

Honestly I don't know why I'm even writing this here. Still I know a few of my buds here would probably like to know. As it is I just told my fiancé. He helped cheer me up a bit but I know I'm likely gonna bawl my head off tomorrow anyway. Hell I'm sniffing right now.

So yeah, I guess that's all I really have to say right now. Sorry to leave you all on this depressing note. I'll see about posting some happy cute stuff up real soon.
